Of 178 cases, 94 were presumed infected in Malaysia, 4 in Indonesia, 2 in Sri Lanka, 2 in India and 1 in the Maldives. Chikengunya virus is transmitted by day biting mosquitoes of the Aedes family. There is no specific treatment.
